Generalizations come true as personal experiences yes, but do consider that they cannot stand as truisms, at all, ever. There are no absolute truths. Regarding your last point, substitute the "music business" for all business in every country in the world throughout the history of the world since we crept out of caves. Now *there's* a sweeping absolute truth. Peter * EXCERPTED* > Date: Thu, 18 Feb 1999 12:26:45 +0100 From: "Peter T. Bense" <xxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.xxx> Subject: (idm) Interesting observation... Generally speaking, females: o - when involved in (this) music business, do not work in production (with the exclusion being made here for vocalists). When I call record labels there is almost always a female receptionist with the promotions people being pretty much 50-50 in terms of gender, while 95% of the ones doing the studio work are males. >
