My memory may not be totally accurate, but it seems that vintage synths = were more likely to implement support for PolyAT than modern synths. = This is especially confusing because of the push for MPE. Considering = how much extra CPU power we have these days, I cannot understand why = modern synths do not all have an option for PolyAT in the patching = architecture, along with Velocity, Channel Aftertouch, and Continuous = Controllers. I am with you 100%. I do not need to buy another keyboard controller = with every sound generator. In fact, I=E2=80=99m way more likely to buy = a new synth architecture if I can stuff it away in a rack somewhere with = nothing but audio and MIDI cables running to it. Of course, a nice = hands-on controller is very important, but I don=E2=80=99t need keys = attached to every patch editor surface. Brian p.s. Is there a list of synths that respond to PolyAT? I think I=E2=80=99l= l start another thread for that... Their Repro-5 sounds so amazing I have held off getting a P6 = Module.
