I found out yesterday that the guy who recorded the music for the Jetta commercial is an acquaintance. I told a mutual friend (a former IDM lurker) about the discussion here. He called his friend to tell him about the IDM list and the musician in question said he would pop in to tell us more. We'll see if that actually happens.
