It covers the seminal heros of electronica, from Kraftwerk, to Derrick May, to Fat Boy Slim.. [err, I think.] Anyway, the film is from renowned filmmaker Iara Lee [Synthetic Pleasures] who also runs Caipirinha productions, home of Si Begg, Kerosene, Taylor Deupree, etc. >> HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! It was here in Nashville for 2 weeks, and I saw 6 times. It is done very, very well, and is VERY informative. The whole Detroit section explains the scene in the words of it's creators- Atkins, May, Craig, Saunderson, and LOTS more. Lots of vintage footage of Bob Moog, Stockhausen, and Wendy Carlos, too. I sat in the theatre with a huge smile across my face each time I saw it. The only problem is- I wanted to dance half the time instead of sitting down. SO GO SEE IT!! P.S. I will say I wished I had my mini Make my funk the P- funk, disc player because samples Dub abound....
