Well, having read various reports about the upcoming UNKLE album I'm rather distressed. I like everything I have heard by UNKLE, and some of it I _really_ like, but this all seems to be prior to Tim Goldsworthy leaving and it turning into just James Lavelle and DJ Shadow. I really don't like DJ Shadow's music. Well, I think 'In Flux' and 'Lost and Found' were fine and dandy, but I really don't like anything else I've heard by him. I found 'Endtrouducing' very soulless, overly wrought and sterile. It reminded me more of art-rock than what I like about hip-hop. Anyway, are promos of the UNKLE album about (or is it actually released in the UK?) and what do other people think of it? What's underlying this: I've been hanging out for an UNKLE full-length for several years, and am doing the teenboy angst thing over the possibility that what I was hoping for was actually shelved and will never come to light in favour of more clever-clever crap.
