<< >that *sad* story about Jello Biafra and Nike. Yikes!<
Again, i'm prob just square, but could someone relate this story to me?<<
Yes, what song was Nike after? The Dead Kennedys' "Kill The Poor" would seem
most appropriate given Nike's third world labor practices.
<< However, i doubt that Volvo would have even noticed a socialist agenda. >>
Because they're Swedish and more familiar with Socialism? Maybe Stereolab
planted subliminal messages in the track: "You *will* fully support the
introduction of government-provided health care in the United States."
<< Maybe the credits for commercials should just be made available, like
via a
website or something like that. So rather than say "Hunts Ketchup,
soundtrack provided by Ryoji Ikeda", ther would just be a little
www.hunts_ketchup.com URL on the botom, which has a link to the
commercial's credits. >>
The point may be moot when we all soon have "smart teevees" that can provide
extra information by using the remote control to click menus (not unlike the
extra info now found on DVD's). For any given commercial you could access
soundtrack/ad agency information by clicking a few buttons.
But that would elimiate all these "anyone know the track on that one
commercial?" posts on IDM...would that be a good thing or a bad thing?
