i wonder about this ad. it was said before that advertisers chose electronicmusic because of its lack of meaning. then there's this stereolab song about war and bombshelters. sure it's a nice, quirky song but do ya think anyone listened to the lyrics before choosing it for the ad? i was happy to see this combination for a commercial though: one of my fave bands and the car i drive (okay maybe not the C70coupe, but close enough). tomas >a thorn in my side re: Stereolab. Did that Volvo deal close well? I can't >imagine what Volvo >paid them but I'd guess it could buy them a *fleet* of new Farfisas. Hopefully >dropping socialist ideology from their oeuvre worked for this ad ( and that >exorbitantly >over priced box thingie that came out a few months back, whew, what's up >with *that* ?)
