My opinion has changed somewhat regarding this disc. Aside from several tracks that take too long to get where they are going (and on this most of us seem to agree), on the whole it is quite well executed. The problem I still have with it -- and this -may- be true of much of even the best jungle/d'n'b out now -- is it plays the style too straight. By this point the Amen break has to have been cut up and reassembled into every possible permutation. Is it artistry or artisanship to do this anymore? Then again, hardly anyone seems to give a rat's ass about my attempts to break a bit of new ground in a relatively palatable setting -- aside from a bunch of Canadian radio programmers and Russian MP3 hounds -- so take my comments for what they're worth. --Mark __ Burning Rome : SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14 > Distributed by Dutch East India Trading, Com Four, and Carrot Top < < http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome > < MP3 & RealAudio tracks >
