Come and > visit me in Cape Town South Africa and experience heaven on earth > (at least in the geographical/physical sense). > manchester! sheffield! south africa!!! gleaming metropolitan oases of culture all. try living in st helens! its all rugby, pies and pub beer glasses. tho' last time i was back they had wierdly obtained a tapas bar ("what flavor cheese'n'onion or smokey bacon?"). oh and a (recent?) record store called revolution (if i remember right) which is utterly magnificent due to the fact that it stocks lovely vinyl rarities that *no one there seems interested in* (v/vm xmas single was going for about $6 in *may*). pity it opened about 15 yrs too late. could be worse, coulda been 18 formative yrs in wigan. obthewirevsjockeyslut. maybe i'm being obvious about this but doesn't one cover dance music that is sometimes experimental and the other covers experimental music you can sometimes dance to. seems like another case of whether apples or oranges is currently yer bag. there is no contradiction involved in v/vm slaggin' the sluts and appearing in the wire, obsessive eye, or anything else as far as i can see. -martin
