Information: Artifacts CD (Beatservice Records) BSCD019 Released 25. may Information is Per Henrik Svalastog and J=F8rgen Knudsen from Troms=F8 = and Bergen, Norway. Per Henrik Svalastog is an architect, and has = previously made music together with a.o. Geir Jenssen (Biosphere), and new age composer Erik W=F8llo. He was one of the norwegian technopioneers in = the early 90's, when he played on clubs and raves as DJ E-C-T. J=F8rgen Knudsen works as a composer, and has previously been in New Wave and Country bands. He is currently working with the theatre group BAK-Truppen, and as a composer for coreographers and dance-companies. Together, they have made music for theatre, film, television, etc the last 4 years. The music can be loosely tied to the arctic ambient = sound, and moves from the melodic and rhythmic to the dark and = avantgardistisc. It is however not primarily a product of inspiration from the techno/ambient-genres, but is rather a product of their various referances and collaborations. Their music is built up of sounds and themes from their output the last 4 years. Information is known for their collaboration with artists in other genres, they have worked with writers, computer craphics, painters, performance artists and = sculptors. Live they collaborates with jazz sax player Erik Balke. Inspiration = from these refereces are collected under the Information logo, and a series of limited 12" releases who now are collected on the "Artifacts" CD.
