> What difference does the thickness make when beatmatching? It's heavier, so there's more friction and it's harder to move it around with your fingers. If you're backqueing the records you can sometimes even cause the platter to spin backwards. That's a pain. I'd still rather have heavy vinyl - I have too many skinny records that are warped! Has anyone ever experimented with slipmats that have some kind of serious lubrication on the back? bbn
