dunno what happened here, as 'pattern tub' was supposed to be on our holy skam originally. but i'm glad it got a release (since skam was taking forever). Headphone is the fax-related label that put out the AMAZING 'system error' CD last year. this should be excellent:: (out now) >FREEFORM - Pattern Tub CD (Headphone) $13.00 >"Some facts about Freeform: Freeform is twenty one year old Simon Pyke ,born in >Swindon, now living in Stepney, London. Freeform plays live & toured with Autechre on >their "Trirepetour" 1996 - Here are a few of the things Simon says about Pattern Tub: >"Technology now allows us to break the barriers which limit the physical placement of >sound sources; with a portable DAT recorder and a microphone any sound which your ears >can percieve can be used and manipulated as if it as physically present. Sound sources >range from a flute through toy percussion through the sound of a journey on the >docklands light railway and a human voice. This album is not about the technology >which was used to create it; the tools are a way to create and communicate what is >coming out of the speakers.
