Before we all jump in on this vinyl vs. CD thing, again, let's just state the facts: Vinyl: analog: a needle plays the actual vinyl. You hear the music through the vinyl, so you get its character, imperfections, hear when there's dust on it, dust on your needle, etc. An abused record: you'll hear the abuse, etc. CDs: digital: you are not hearing what the CD player is playing in reaction to this particular CD (like a needle on a record), you are hearing the result of the CD reading the zeros and ones (digital data) from the CD and they are heard by you as music. When you hear music on vinyl it is completely different from the chain of events when you hear music that is on a CD. Not better, not worse, but different. Because one is analog and the other is digital, there are differences in the sound. Some prefer one, some prefer the other, but please let's not get into a debate about it. As for those who DJ: Some who DJ will prefer one over the other, some use both. Had to get this out, but 4 hours of sleep have not made this eloquent, and I apologize. Thanks.
