I'd like to add my thoughts to this debate, since it's one of the
topics I feel I can constructively contribute to.

Urmur (or Urmer?) Bile Trax is not crap. Very little of the music we
discuss
here is crap. Getting such radical music to affect us emotionally is not
simple, and we all agree that Mike's earlier works succeeded in this. UBT=
 I
know is not crap because it has affected me in the way that good music
does,
and other people have commented how much they like it too. But that said,=
 I
admit I don't listen to it very often.

OK some think that the release is too long and the ideas weak, but I thin=
k
that music is magic and you can never have heard enough of it. UBT deserv=
es
its place in IDM and anyone who disagrees is being silly.

As for the remix of Brace Yourself Jason, I rekon it's like what
siliconvortex said below. My favourite thing about it is those echoey
cheesy melodies that melt my heart every time. I can see this track not
working if you've got the wrong state of mind, and think this can happen
with a lot of Mike's work.
