I'm using Reverb payments, and I'm often paid the same day that the
shipping label is scanned/accepted (i.e. I print the postage at home
and bring the package to FedEx or USPS). There is a delay when you
first accept Reverb payments of a few days, but that's resolved after
your first few transactions.
If you're worried about the fact that you're out of pocket for the
postage - Reverb debits the postage amount from the sale revenue, and
their postage rates are discounted from the retail rates. If you're
not using Reverb to print postage, then yeah, you're in a tough spot.
