They could also try "Roland Mode" where the JP6 tries to behave as though
Europa were not installed.

Hold "TAPE" button down on power up.

This might help narrow down the problem.

I have not had this problem with a JP6 but I have had it with an
Emax and the cause was exactly what Florian suggested. A MIDI loop.
