Eggheads like myself like The Wire. I rather read that than any of the teenage rock/raver/disco rags (Mixmag, DJ, Spin, Rolling Stone, yeah Jockey Slut) that pass themselves off as trend-setting hipsters. I'll take Toru Takemitsu and V/VM over Keoki and Blur anyday. >uhmmm A commercial magazine? have the vvm guys ever read it? they review >all kinds of things (some commercial some not). Hell, in the last couple >of issues they reviewed the last 2 markant releases. I have also seen >reviews of items from the fat cat label. Article topics range from >Squarepusher to Jeff Mills. They even had a one page article on Jega. > > >You know it is hard to take the vvm guys seriously when they just appeared >in the latest wire. Sure I read it but it is one of the most pretentious >(and without substance) rags out there. And as for jumping on band >wagons, wire is more than guilty. > > >-daniel > >
