(apologies to anyone to whom this doesn't apply) atkins, lowres/crank, input, and stewart s. walker contests are currently online on the cognition audioworks site (http://www.globalserve.net/~cognition). Unfortunately, my computer problems have escalated and I've come to the realization that over the last month or so, the computer has been eating up to 200 messages per day *before they were read*; I am very good at getting back to people, so if you've sent me an email and wondered "why the hell didn't andrew get back to me on that?" there's a very good chance that I didn't even get to read your email (or see it come in to know that i didn't get a chance to read it!). since approximately 3PM AST this past Friday I have been unable to access already received emails. could not reply to them, and could not read approximately 200 that were received. i've just replied to approximately 200 emails this morning that were received OK today, but there's a big gap from friday to today or no emails (when i know some would have come in over the weekend) if you haven't heard from me in my batch of replies of this morning and/or you emailed anytime after last thursday and have yet to receive a reply, it is possible that your email is either a) received but can't be read or b) eaten. (again, apolgies to those to whom this doesn't apply, but i received a lot of contest entries and idm/313 related emails this morning that i *could* read and reply to so i'm assuming there are some plenty more lost in the computer's evil gut somewhere). please re email me if, since last thursday, you've entered a contest and have yet to receive a confirmation of entry or if you've emailed me at some point and i haven't replied. i am still working on sorting out this problem and all efforts will be mad to get this figured out. thanks. andrew
