hm. i'd hafta say you would like _charlie's family_, but not _music for
cats_. and as for the coil bit - i'd say _charlie's family_ reminds one of
_black light district_, a bit.

_-273C_, the NEWT album, takes ome in-depth listening to fully enjoy. i
recommend putting it on while falling asleep or cyberpunking about on the
'net. :) however, _phaseshifting_, the recent remix ep, grabs one's
attention immediately, though. very cold, space-age, futuristic
drum'n'bass. i think luigi rossolo looks down on NEWT and smiles. :)

matrix is easily the most "out-there" and least industrial record by them.
however, it's not industrial in the traditional sense (haujobb, mentallo &
the fixer, leastherstrip, any of the modern electro bands that are
haujobb's peers). it's still dark and cold and electronic and harsh, but
just largely without vocals and any real dancefloor accessibility. a few
tracks do have this neat kinda "droney seefeel electronics meets autechre
harsh beats" thing goin' on, too. :)

find the dots and dashes full-length, recently out on form'n'function,
distributed by rough trade DE. 9 tracks of harsh, dark, spacy, d'n'b joy.
same goes for the brand-new s'apex album on poets' club.

yeah, but it's worth $6 for the extended mix and the forma tadre mix, if
not the forma tadre mix alone.

i've been hearing so much about these guys, but from the descriptions it
doesn't sound exactly like my cup of tea. yet, i feel i should hear them.
are there samples anywhere on the net?
