"CHILL OUT" SABOTAGE REC 30/CD-COMP "They are currently engrossed in compiling their less-than-relaxed reply to the KLF=B4s super-ambient "Chill Out" album. "Panacea (=FCber-industrial German junglist) has just delivered his track," laughs Robert", and it=B4s 320 beats per minute. Not so chilled-out really."They=B4re even going to use the original sheep-inhabited KLF sleeve, with a predatory wolf savaging the flock." (NME 12/97) Definitely! The ultimate "CHILL OUT"-compilation of the late '90s is here! It is related to the CD/LP of the same name by the legendary popgroup KLF. Not only does the 1990-release "CHILL OUT" by KLF hold as a milestone for ambient music, but it also played a major role in the spreading of the ambient style. The CD-project initiated by Sabotage Communications found a new niche in the definition of "CHILL OUT". An electronic vocabulary was built into the concept of 'ambient' in a way, that the form, content and context (soundscapes, slow motion, resting place,...) counteract with the structure, which was formerly escaping the listeners attention but now doesn't let the audience rest. To expand the musical dimension and frame not only artists from Austria, but Japan, Canada, Netherlands and Germany, which are well known for their vicious and groundbreaking work in their musical genre, were invited to participate in this project. Even the cover of the CD plays an essential role. Corresponding to the title the original cover of the KLF "CHILL OUT" CD shows a meadow with chilling sheep. This time a rack of wolves rests on the lawn. In the CD booklet one can find numerous Internet-Urls of internationally agitating Wolfparks, which help save the species wolf and raise funds through giving them free for adoption. Sabotage Communications has adopted a wolf named 'Nimrod' (www.teleport.com/~wnorton/names.html)and would be happy to find you on the list of adoptive parents too. Just remember: "TO LOOK INTO THE EYES OF A WOLF IS TO SEE YOUR DEMANDS JUST BE SURE SOMETHING YOU WANT TO VIEW IS THERE" Featuring tracks from : PANACEA (position chrome, germany) AIRLOCK (drive in, germany) I-f (murder capital, netherlands) AUBE (G.R.O.S.S., japan) FENNESZ (mego, austria) FARMERS MANUAL (mego, touch, austria) BANNLUST (sabotage, science city, germany) RYOJI IKEDA (touch,.., japan) POMASSL (sabotage, laton, austria) ALOIS HUBER (sabotage, laton, austria) DJ PURE (loop, sub/version, austria) DAVID REEVES (descreet-indescreet, canada) EPY (sabotage, austria) To be released soon: Limited 12" EP version of "CHILL OUT" on sabotage rec. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
