> i've dealt with far too many people who refuse to listen to music merely > because it's > is remotely "popular". > Agreed. Here's my gripe for the day, read on if you're interested, if not, press delete. I'm sick and fucking tired of people bitching and moaning about commercial corporate music. Get over it. Yes, its easy to listen to, and yes, it MAY have taken less effort and talent to create, and DOES make more money off of people, but for those of you who can't deal with that fact, and resort to cutting it up and putting it down, get a life. Some people don't take their music as seriously as people who listen to "underground" music. Maybe they don't want to spend hours looking for "different" music, and even if they do take their music seriously and use "pop" music to achieve that, who are we to say they shouldn't? Are you seriously implying that the utility(enjoyment) they get out of their music is somewhat less than what we get out of ours? Grow up. People listen to music for sheer enjoyment. Don't cheapen that. Sorry, i had to rant. Flame me if ya want. Ali "It means we'll manage I'll master your language And in the meantime I'll create my own" (Tricky)
