Hi all, With all the AWE-talk on this list of late I just thought I'd air my recent query/problem that I'm experiencing regarding burning up CDs of some music I've done. Basically I'm planning to make a few master CDs of stuff I've been doing on the AWE on Cubase with Soundfonts and all that. What I want to know is how I can create a .WAV or burnable file of my stuff without having to go back through an analogue process (ie resampling the tracks - which is what seems to happen when you record a .WAV of what you are playing back in Cubase - and which seems to sound crusty on the AWE)? Assuming the data is already digital, this shouldn't be a major problem, but knowing how to do it seems more problematic. If it's coming out of the speakers surely it is also spewing out of SP-DIF digital output on the AWE? Do that mean I have to pick that output up and route it back into the computer somehow to get the data back into memory and thus onto the hard-drive, and if so how - do I need another soundcard with an SP-DIF input? Or is there a much easier way which I'm missing... Any direct answers or pointers to resources appreciated. Thanks, Graham. -- [b]r[e]a[k]b[e]a[t] [e]r[a] _ Roni Size Reprazent Krust Die Suv Full Cycle Dope http://www2.prestel.co.uk/lwtcdi/era/ Dragon V Philly Blunt Chronic Protocol [profiles][discographies][sounds][interviews][news]
