The problem with most turntable records is that the artists are DJs, not producers, so the beats they scratch over are usually kinda week. MMM is one of the few who does have quirky production skills...on "Anti-Theft Device" he uses that alien sound from the movie "Contact" and all kinds of weird stuff. I think his album is worth it, though it got lots of mixed reviews. Other good producer/DJs are Disk and Faust, both on Bomb Records (I think). Q-bert's pretty good too...
