(idm) FAQ

Having noted the recent occurence of certain threads, and the knowing the
importance for new IDM'ers to have an idea about the frequent topics of
debate, the honorable Mr. Warren Lapham & myself undertook a quick FAQ.
It's rough, but hopefully it will help.

What is the definition of IDM?

"IDM are the ninth, fourth, and thirteenth letters of the roman alphabet,
respectively."

Regarding the Mainstream Versus Underground debate:

"The main stream can be better fishing, but I prefer to take the
underground when in London. You get caught on the rocks quite often if the
mainstream is shallow, as it usually is"

as a side note about sellouts:

"I hate it when my local shop doesn't order enough records."

On Copyright & CD-R technology:
"This issue was much greater when cd-writers were first available and it
was common for copies to fail; today's models are much more stable and
usually copy everything right the first time."

Regarding CD vs. Vinyl:

"It really depends on what your investment goals are. Certificates of
Deposit (commonly known as CDs) are good for safe, short-term investing.
Whereas vinyl futures, like most commodities, don't offer the same
security; however, a much greater profit is possible."

Plaid Vs. Black Dog:

"Why that mutt doesn't like that sweater is something I'll never
understand."

Women In IDM:

"There are no women in IDM. It's all a vicious rumor started by the women
in IDM. I'm not into IDM, but my girlfriend is."

Again, it's our sincere hope that this FAQ (Fucking Annoying Questions)
file will help with list traffic. Remember, we are reasonable people.
