New stuffs folks! BoC-Music Has The Right To Children I'm impressed. There's been some criticism here, I know, but this is really great stuff. I've got the Twoism EP and the 7" (which I've not heard yet), and I really like that one. This is much of the same. Very mellow, subtle stuff. I don't describe music well, so let's just leave it at this. Great mood music for slow days and rainy afternoons. Also, pick up that Twoism EP and be sure to listen to "Everything You Do Is A Balloon" on that one. A great track. A Reminiscent Drive-Mercy Street Wow...this reminds me of the BoC that I just listened to. And it's on FComm (that great one out of Paris). This is a great disc and VERY similar to the new Boards LP. Mellow, slow, subtle stuff. Right in line with his old stuff, too, so if you're already a fan, don't expect too much of a departure. It's always hard to tell if you want more exploring of older rhythms or if you want a marked change from the past stuff. Would make a good list topic. Anyway, it's a little mellow for FComm, but as you get through the disc, it begins to feel more and more familiar. Great packaging, too. Gotta love that. Kinesthesia - Empathy Box Everyone knows this. No need to review it, methinks. Cyclob - Previously Unavailable on Compact Disc Chris Jeffs doing that name game. This is stuff from 93-95 both as Cyclob and Kinesthesia, though most of it is Kinesthesia. Great remixers, inc. Autechre, u-Ziq and Aphex...Also, a bonus...Included is "Sixed", the Cyclob track from the Mururoa EP. Anyway, if you know Jeffs, you know this stuff and you don't need the review. If you don't know it, it's Rephlex...and that alone should be enough to spark either excitement or anger. That's about all that is of interest to this list (unless you want to hear about the Trousers remix of St. Etienne)...a great day for music. See ya ---brian
