Like any good DJ, > he knows how to work up a crowd. He has DJed in all the big events in the > UK and Europe. And now settles for an (exclusive?) residency at Cream, making everyone come to him and pay heavily for the privelidge. Sounds like a God complex to me? > His style of trance is very melodic and catchy, which is > easy to like. Sure, he's not a genius and he has not done anything which > is innovative and creative, but I think his music is okay. Fair enough. I don't want to tread on your toes particularly. If you're content to listen to something you think is just "okay" then please continue... > >> Anyone want to start the "Kill Paul Oakenfold List"? > Why should you devote so much negative energy on Oakey? Why don't you > start a "Kill Spice Girls list" instead? Because the Spice Girls make better music and are more open about their money making intentions. And don't worry I was just joking about the Kill Oakey list! I don't think anyone wants that (the list, not the killing). > C'mon, there are other worse personalities than Oakenfold. Yeah, there are, but that's my problem, he is a 'personality'. I don't have a problem with this per se, but most personalities reside totally in the mainstream, not in some middleground point between the dance underground and the top ten. For me, a lot of what Oakenfold produces puts good forward looking dance music to shame. That's my beef with him... gb. -- /TheW i http://www.homeusers.prestel.co.uk/lwtcdi/all/ f o L D o dlr WTC "Let's decompose and enjoy assembling!"
