Re: DJ Wally I love the man's live sets (DJ sets that is). And I had high hopes for Dog Lg Left, but it didn't live up to my expectations either. I've heard Genetic flaw is a similarly mixed bag, just aggresively weird samples and triphop. What makes his live sets so good is thast he combines excellent hiphop influenced jump-up with a good sense of humor. He's the only NY DJ I've heard who stays away from wishy washy ambience and BS. And one of the few American DJs who are any good (187 ain't bad either, but a bit over the top with reverb and FX on her last album). Anyway, what all this means to say is, listen to his new album, Up Jumpss the Boogie by Pish Posh. It's an excellent mix-cd (i think vinyl is unmixed) of his tracks, a few of which were killers last summer when they were being played out. It's the only American jungle I'vce heard which has its own sound without aping Brits. Yeah, it's dancefloor stuff, but extremely well done. It's on Rawkus I think, or Rawkus primitive. Sam
