so i open up the mail today to see that my li'l free promo thing from volkswagon showed up. with the 4:08 mix of "Jung at Heart" by master cylinder. most of at least the US readers might be familiar with this as being the song played during the new Jetta "Synchro" commercial. the 4-minute mix is better =) the rhythms slowly build up and do more than the 1 minute commercial allowed, and the melodies shift and.. well.. i hate to be blaah but it's just really good. it does *more*, it's not just a straightforward 1 minute "here ya go, a little variation, oops now it's done", it's like an actual song (track?). i hope that this Peter DuCharme does more music in this vein, i think it would be really interesting (and hopefully good). If you thought the commercial was funky, you should try to hunt this down. unfortunately, it seems to be just a promo from VW. you might be able to convince a dealer to give you one, as VW only contacted those who queried them when the commercial was still airing. luckily the packaging *isn't* a huge ad. it says "drivers wanted (VW)" on the back, but the rest of it could easily pass as just a single. yay! i won't feel so bad carrying it around (even tho it's only 1 song.. played twice (??) ) heh. heh, interesting label, that volkswagon... -=aethersplat +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ I am a kind of paranoiac in reverse.
