Yeah JDJ have folded now hence the deletions. I can't say I'll miss them much as most mix CD's are pretty wank both in content and execution. The Coldcut CD is the exception that proves the rule though and is a bench mark for how these things should be done. I think I'm qouting them right when they said at the time that they just wanted to make every DJ who heard it sick with envy. If you haven't heard it and have any kind of interest in either the art of mixing or any of theses artists: Dillinga; Wagon Christ; Red Snapper; Plastik Man; Gescom; Mantronix; KRS1; DJ Food and Coldcut themselves (especially the old cut-up shit) then they should do they damndest to hear it. I sort of agree with most of whats been said about Urmur, it is too long and I only ever listen to The Hydrozone and Hip*007 myself. It is even more of shame when you consider that when I saw Mu-ziq live last year I was completely blown away with what he was playing. It was the mostly remixes of stuff we already know, in the same vein as Phonic Sox and Hip*007, but cranked up to fever pitch. Personally I'd like to see him release a live tape but I know he won't because he's got too much new stuff to release. Oh and by the way I got one track from the first Aphex session which is TQT (available on Classics (R&S)) and three from the 95 one, namely: Pancake Lizard; the aforementioned SAW2 track with beats; and a meneacing four-on-the-floor stomper with strings, that wouldn't sound out of place on J4 or 5 really, which is quite nice nontheless. There was suppossed to be a new one last year and it was listed in the NME but it never materialised and the last I heard was that Richard had cashed their cheque hadn't completed anything. Over and Out Steve.N "It's shame/ but it's the name of the game/ and still/ I change my style and chill" P.S. Does anyone have a track listing for the Mouse skate video, directed by Spike Jonze?
