I am about to replace my Jupiter-6 NEC uPC1252 (a DBX compressor VCA) with a= THAT 1281 which has much better BW and rise time. The 1252 also appears in a= Jupiter-4. All voices sum through this part, so my experience with replacing summer bus= stages in a Polaris and OB-Xa is that it improves fidelity without losing c= haracter.=20 The THAT 1281 requires some support resistors and THAT have been very helpfu= l. Has anyone swapped out their 1252?
