Some guy is auctioning off the following record:

Diceman-Vivatonal(2x12").
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=105381725
he writes:
>i must warn you that the style of music on these records is absolutely
>nothing
>like the style of aphex twin, afx , gak or polygon window. i can only describe
>it as eurotechno circa '92.this is definately a collectors item worth
>having. i
>have as yet to se this show up on any discography i have seen, so please only
>serious bidders!

Now, I remember someone on here recently explained the whole Diceman issue.
I'd look in the archives but they're gone. What's the real Diceman's name?
Isn't only one Diceman track truely Aphex? On A.I.vol1?

So, I wrote him an e-mail... and this is what I got back:

>i can agree up to a point, the point being i have another compilation in
>my collection titled
>"this is techno uk"1993 with 2 of the tracks that appear on this
>collection (diceman&musical director)both of which i am auctioning.
>and both tracks are credited to a richard james,
>probabaly just a coincidence! also a t the bottom of these particular
>records it states all songs by jolly james himself.

hmm... can someone explain this?

>also i has been stated in earlier afx interviews that he had made
>loads of money putting out tracks in europe under
>various guises in the early 90's , could these be the self same tracks ?

he's a compulsive liar, right?

>i purchased the records in
>england in the summer of 1995 the only reason for buying them was that
>they were stickered as an earlier incarnation of the afx twin.
>i truly believe this is the genuine article.
>please if you find out what you supposedly believe e-mail me back, i
>certainly don't want to swindle anybody.

He seems genuinely concerned.. so can anyone shed more light?
