I just wanted to say that the only real complaint I have about Autechre's latest is all of the "interludes" - two or three minutes of digital manipulation that often shows up at the beginning or end of tracks. Almost without exception, I find I'm just waiting for these bits to pass, and get back to the "track proper". This isn't a blanket dismissal of this kind of sound processing, it's just that what Autechre are doing reminds me of the results I've found by downloading a copy of Cool Edit or Goldwave and applying change after change after change, pretty much randomly.
