I have Oval's Diskont 94, a thrill jockey release w/ a green cover. I like it. The LP consists of swirling ambient landscapes made from manipulated CDs. Some tracks have a rhythmic base (from CD skips) but most of it just floats. The LP also is packaged w/a remix disc (Mouse on Mars, Scanner, Christian Vogel). You really can't tell the difference, though. >going nuts here... *need* some new tunes today... > >local store has an oval release on thrill jockey... no idea on the >title, but was hoping someone might provide me with an idea what to >expect if my coil has yet to arrive and i'm forced to pick this up... > >thanks much > >xxxx@xxxxx.xxx /// occasional noisy soundfiles (np: burundi challenge.rm) >http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ >blackdog, vvm, whitezone-l, slipdisc > >C.Gosselin, 1547 Boston Court #7, Santa Rosa, CA 95405 ________________ Rodney Perkins mailto:xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx
