When/If you do find suitable lettering, here are a few tips: Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying the lettering, then try not to touch it with your fingers. If you goof up, you can use masking tape to remove any goofed letters. At least with the lettering we used, it assured us that they were solvent-resistant. So we cleaned afterward with alcohol as well, with no ill effects. The cleaning is important for the next step. After everything was done, we sprayed a satin coating over the whole thing, to keep the letting from rubbing away over time. We used VHT Flame-Proof Satin Clear, from an auto parts store. (We want it to hold up in the event of any spontaneous combustion!)
