CARPARK NEWS

We're going to Japan! Greg Davis, The Animal Collective, Ogurusu Norihide
and yours truly (as DJ) will present the first-ever Carpark Family Japan
tour next month. Here are the dates:

February 26th - Kyoto - Metro
February 27th - Nagoya - Tightrope with Lullatone
February 29th - Tokyo - Shibuya Nest

Greg Davis' "Curling Pond Woods" will be released February 12th. After the
Japanese tour, Greg Davis will tour the midwest and east coast with his new
band AND Marumari. Dates are currently being confirmed, so if you are
interested in setting up a show please get in touch with us. In April the
Greg Davis Group will tour the UK for a couple weeks with Thrill Jockey's
Town and Country. Hopefully the Group will make it out to the west coast
this summer.

Look out for full lengths from Casino Versus Japan and the Hrvatski/Greg
Davis duo on Carpark this fall. We've also received a limited number of
Takagi Masakatsu "Opus Pia" cds (previously out of print) so please check
out our online shop if you'd like one.

ACUTE NEWS

Metal Urbain's "Anarchy in Paris!" is out now! Check it out at your
favorite shop (if they don't carry it suggest they do) or order it directly
from us at the acute online shop (www.acuterecords.com). (Our cd is for
North America only.) First two orders that mention this newsletter will
get a free Metal Urbain t-shirt!

Our reissue contains everything from the pioneering late '70s french
synth-punkers: from the first single ever on Rough Trade to several
unreleased gems. Metal Urbain will return to North America this March for
a show at South by Southwest in Austin plus a west coast tour. Look out
for post-Metal Urbain projects Metal Boys "Tokio Airport" and Dr Mix and
the Remix getting the Acute reissue treatment in March and May.

Glenn Branca's first solo release "Lesson No.1" will be reissued by Acute
in April. We've included the rare "Bad Smells" composition (featuring Lee
Ranaldo and Thurston Moore) made for the Twyla Tharp Dance Company plus a
rarely-seen live video of "Symphony #5" from 1984. Weasel Walter of Flying
Luttenbacher's fame has remastered the audio and Alan Licht has written
liner notes. It should be one of THE reissues of the year!

PAW TRACKS NEWS

The Animal Collective have been busily preparing new releases for the
summer and spring. Look out for the next Paw Tracks' release Panda Bear
"Young Prayer" this June, plus an Avey Tare and Panda Bear record on Fat
Cat in May. A Paw-Tracks compilation is planned for the fall.

After the Japanese tour, The Animal folk will play a handful of shows on
the east coast before heading back to Europe for most of April. Dates to
be announced soon. Animal should hit the American road again this summer.

New Paw-Tracks website should be up soon!

Stay warm and see you next time. Please let us know if you do not want to
receive these emails.

Best,
Todd
