Granted, the way the moog stuff is made there is a lot of labor involved. What's funny about that is that the modusonics prices don't seem as insane as they did a few years ago. A mere $900 for a genuine moog VCO, it's got company with the zeroscilator and wiard, among others. Granted, these new products do more, but, they don't say moog on the front. > Keith Emerson uses three 921AB pairs in his modular. Really, how does he manage to keep all that modular power under control? A Moog noise source went recently for a more sane $112. And a vintage 901 went for about five bucks less than what the 921A went for. Even doepfer modules routinely fetch almost new prices. Its crazy.
