Editing a switch value with a rotary pot is definitely a minus, but in my mind less of a minus than having to flip through 'programs' of parameters on the Novation. Also I can lay down an overlay on the Doepfer (that punkdISCO linked to) that will have the parameter names, so that's not a big issue.
