And for all accounts and purposes, "psychedelic" usually equals analogue.
Shakta uses a System 100m, Ree K. has a gearlist which made me cry (do a
websearch on Rie Kurihara or Ree. K), nearly ever band uses at least a 101
and juno-1...you *need* analog to make those whacked out noises.

And, yes, it is NOTHING LIKE DAFT PUNK :)

For those looking to actually *hear* some of this stuff, there are some
really good mp3 sites up on the web, and tons of comps you can buy at
Tower or whatever.


I'm mainly going off about it because, while techno can be an annoying
topic on this list, many of the members may appreciate goa/psytrance for
its exploration of analogue textures and layers...the music is really
based on timbre metamorphosis.
