Mmm.. Got my Concussor Modules and tasty Multi-Platform Rack From Tom Carpenter (Analogue Solutions*) this week!!! I got an 8-step gate sequencer,8 step CV Seq., Fillin Module, Master Clock and The _TASTIEST_ spring reverb (and i should know!) unit..All in the 6u case w/psu. The Busboard inside can accomadate Concussor _or_ Bob Williams` Analogue systems` modules.. so i had to put in a quick order with Bob for a Voltage Inverter and a couple of other bits too.. just to fill a space or 2 and add to the spice.. The Concussor modules are all powered by a Ribbon Bus lead that uses only 1 Doepfer power socket, leaving the other 5 free, so i imagine this rack filling with a nice cross section of modules sooner then i can afford!!!!!! The Modules share a trigger line so i don`t have to patch them together to get thenm to sync or anything.. it worked straight away and i was running a tasty patch of 100m osc. thru` a Doepfer Multimode filer and ending up through the Reverb spring with the WetMix CV punching in on accents... Serious. In fact So serious i`ve asked tom to make me a "Transpose" Module to allow me to add voltages to the CV sequencer module output on a Bar to Bar basis, triggered by using the fillin module every 4 or so bars, Yes i know i _could_ just order another set of CV/Gate modules, but custom modules have that extra value!! I`m not going to go into the functioning of the various modules, you`ll have to Surf to Tom`s site (Analogue Solutions) to check that all out, but as far as the construction is concerned, and overall quality too.. it`s a Blinder all round. Solid, Logical.. and in the words of Mel Brooks : "We don`t need no pissing (commercial) Badges!!!" I especially dig the Gate sequencer with it`s ch1, no ch or ch2 3 position toggle switches, i can make a difference to a pattern so much with a single swich flip it`s scary. oh... and it REALLY does start on position 1 after a RESET, not the last position like the ARP i had.. mmm.. I think i need another set of sequencer modules.. ive just thought of a nice "Fractal" patch that could rival the infamous 100m "Birdy Patch" for Evolving niceness... I Have to say, at about UK70- each for the Sequencers, with PERFECT Doepfer Interfacing, these are winners. Why can`t Other people get their modules Plug n` play like this?
