Hi everyone,
My Doepfer MCV24 just came the in the mail and first off all, I
would like to praise Doug from Enport for excellent customer service. The
first unit he shipped me sustained damage to its LCD screen in the post,
and he amiably agreed to test and ship out another one(this time with even
more packing!)immediately. Such a refreshing response in these times!
Next, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these
units. The english manuals are still not out yet, and despite having
zillions of options or perhaps more likely BECAUSE of them, these machines
are not the most "user-friendly". I've manage to get all the gates working
for my 101 and Moogs but am having difficulty scaling the CV voltage to get
it in tune. The following parameters appear to relevant but I have no clue
what they do...
CV Parameter Menu:
BaseNote: xx(a note)
From: xx(a note)
To: xx(a note)
System Paramter Menu:
Note#1: xx(a number)
CV#1/coarse: +/- xx(a number)
CV#1/fine: +/- xx(a number)
Note#2: xx(a number)
CV#2/coarse: +/- xx(a number)
CV#2/fine: +/- xx(a number)
These values are not as straightforward as they might be appear. Changing
Note#1 or Note#2, for instance, alters the tuning although why I have no
clue.
Any help would be appreciated.
