i love the fm-7. i've had several 4 op dx synths, but what this thing can do is unreal. the time-syncable, loopable envelopes are so cool to do stuff with.. i only wish for either a hardware version or a much larger or zoomable control screen. and i think it's still 'gritty' enough compared to older dx's. and it has a slider for 'analogue'..;-) r./ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Grenader" <xxxxx@xxxxxxxxx-xxxxx.xxx> To: "Hans Greuber" <xxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.xxx>; <xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx> Cc: <xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx> Sent: Saturday, November 29, 2003 6:30 PM Subject: Re: [AH] WTB ; still looking for Jellinghaus DX.7 programmer /Doepfer Drehbank It's all a matter of taste and personal opinion, mine being from one who owned a TX 816, still owns a TX802, and who has also spent some time with FM7 -- the 24 bit resolution of that software is an improvement on the original. The envelopes as well are among the most versatile out there, with vernier type handles which not only allow you to set the duration of each phase, but it's slope as well. Regarding all soft synths sounding the same, respectfully submitted, I'm not even going to touch that one. I thoroughly disagree, but again, that's my ones personal aesthetic. - P Hans Greuber wrote: > > >>> >>>> Think Yamaha Dx are digital and at least the TX7 have crap DA >>>> converters.
