>>>u.n.k.l.e. - the time has come ep 2x12" (mo wax) This is excellent.<< Too damn right! The early UNKLE stuff was monumental. You'll also find that each mix is significantly different but all truly brilliant so its a bargain. Mixes by UNKLE, Portishead, Howie B and Plaid (x2); Headz 1 has a version mixed by The Major Force Orchestra. The second single "Berry Meditation" (also available in a very cool picture disc) is also pretty essential with Money Mark delivering some spacey electronics over some very downtempo loops and some kind of meditational cassette type voiceunder, with the track become gradually consumed by the drums... The UNKLE LP is a good picture of the popular music of our times all mashed into one mix, but this is the one people will remember. Other UNKLE stuff - 3 Japanese EPs of various remixes which I believe relate to various releases that I'm yet to hear; a track on Headz 2 "Garage Piano" which is a little disappointing; a track on "110 Below" which my brother has adopted so I've no idea what its called (thats a polite way of saying "nicked"); a track on some obscure CD/CD ROM type thing which has a light blue card sleeve - can't remember the title but only ever seen it once. >>I have to correct you. The version on Headz (U.N.K.L.E. vs Major Force) _is_ actually the original version<< That is correct, but confusingly this also cropped up on Headz 2 in one of the single releases.
