WTB: ring mod, maybe more

Will someone out there build a ring mod for me? I will pay for parts and
a fair price for labor. Please email me.

It needs to fit into a box approx 6" x 6", but then anyone competent
should be able to build one 1/4 that size in their sleep. I may be
inclined to purchase more circuits in the future from someone inclined to
build them.

I don't know how I got through the first ring mod, but it works. The 2nd
one has driven me completely insane. Despite hours of doublechecking to
make sure all was well on the 2nd board, it ate the only remaining MC1496
I could find. After having to wait a few weeks for another chip, I bought
two more.

I won't go into the details, but despite my best efforts these other two
chips are also blown, and I completed the project by pulling out the
offending circuit and smashing it to dust while screaming "Die you evil
piece of shit!" at the top of my lungs. You think I'm kidding. (I have
rage in my soul in astonishing quantities -- and believe me: music is a
much better outlet than electronics!)

I've got one working ring mod, +/-15V power and 3 more 1/4" jacks on a
metal case waiting for a 2nd ring mod. This exercise has already cost me
around $90, and I just don't think it's worth my time, money and
aggravation to continue. Even the Doepfer ring mod is only supposed to be
$50 and is probably better. I want to spend my time making music rather
than testing the limits of my patience.

What I was trying to put together was the MC1496-based ring mod posted by
Paul Marriot. I may still build one or two AD533-based ring mods, as it
requires only a couple resistors and trimpots. And for better or for
worse I'm expecting a Paia FatMan within the next week or two. Lock your
doors...

Thanks...
