Mine is built as a large 8 voice poly+ nothing special- just excellent sounding and 15 VCO's (SSM 2030) work out to be very nice. And into the 2040 filters which are still my fav. The FM of all those VCO's is really amazing. There were E-mu kits that also used this chips, a full "voice" on a board. Delicate chips, but to me the best. Things like the 2044 (monopoly. doepfer,poly-6) are nice but so different, the 2040 filter is my fav right after the MS-20. Not saying best just my personal fav. I also love the Sherman filterbank, what does it use? /topology? best, phil
