hasn't anyone considered that it takes money to press records? not everyone can just press 10,000 copies of something. and even so, not everyone can do that more than once a year. i, as a person who runs a small label, would much rather put out 20 DIFFERENT releases of 500 copies each, than ONE SINGLE release of 10,000 copies. and i'm sure consumers would agree that more different releases per time-frame is better than fewer. (by the way, i am a supporter of out-of-print product 'piracy'. in my mind, it's not piracy anymore when the original 'owners' or people involved don't stand to gain profit from its sale.) so if you can't get that ultra-rare hard-to-find "_____" ep, oh well. you missed the boat. all you can do is ask someone for a tape of it or an mp3. but keep in mind that the best thing you can do is support the artist and the label to ensure that they can continue to offer new music. smaller labels usually rely on the previous release's profit to press their next release. (this has been beaten into the ground by now.) bye. -eric --- eric sherman xxxxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx doubtful productions www.doubtful.com wkdu 91.7fm philadelphia transmitting ambient/idm thursdays midnight-6am
