I have been using my shortwave radio a lot lately for, umm, "musical" purposes. How possible would it be to have it modded so that there is a VC input jack that would control the SSB fine tuning? It is controlled now by a knob but I would love to be able to control it via an LFO or envelope. I am assuming that the fact that it is controlled by a knob means there is some degree of analog control, but could very well be wrong... After playing with this thing for several hours and getting some of the most godforsaken noises out of it, I took a nap and dreamed of a shortwave module that I could plug into my MOTM system that had voltage control of the SSB fine tuning and frequency scanning. There was an antenna sticking out of the upper corner, Doepfer-style, that improved reception and could double as a Theremin-style control source and be routed to either of the CV inputs via an internal buss. It also made a great noise source and all the Morse code channels made great psuedo-random clock sources. Mmmmm..... Paul Schreiber, are you listening? :-)
