It's pretty nice as well. > > I didn't like that very much. In fact, i think I almost had to > practically give that away because no one would buy it at my store for > the longest time. For a while I pretty much started boycotting > ordering Rephlex because the stuff was just weak. there's a difference between global goon being weak and you not liking it. global goon is , well i can't describe it, but it's usually funny and happy nd sometimes exaggeratedly cheesy, it is really great. you can't help but get in a good mood when it is playing =). but for many this is not what they are looking for. seems to me the same people who don't like recent aphex won't like global g, because they are looking for music that is cool, meaningful, maybe pushing new grounds (tho imo aphex usually does this) rather than just fun. certain things are for certain moods that you are in. it doesnt always have to hit you in the heart and make you think. the new cylob while i havent heard it yet will probly hit me in the funny bone. same for the aphex video. and maybe rdjames album goes for the emotions. squarepusher fits in the with rephlex stuff but is maybe more complicated musically and rhythmically so it appeals to both crowds.
