Ganger are sometimes great, sometimes somewhat misguided, Scottish
exponents of Tortoise/Ui (amongst others) style minimal post rock. Some
records I've heard have been a total trip for the entire duration, some
just don't grab me at all. People often point a 'krautrock' finger in
these band's direction but the last time I was in Germany I heard a good
few positive mentions about Ganger - so they must be doing something right
:)

They recently got a new rhythm section (courtesy Les Tinglies) I believe
and the most recent stuff I've heard (I don't know if it's out, I was lucky
enough to hear it in the studio where they recorded it in Edinburgh) was
definitely a step in the right direction.
