Well, one thing that you have to consider is that you will be losing a
polyphonic analog filter. It is not exactly the same thing to feed all
voices through one filter as it is to feed each voice through a
separate filter. It will be particularly noticeable if you are using
any per voice modulation on the filter such as envelopes.
