>>> it's no wonder you couldn't hear it. Wilson used theremin >>> on two (released) tracks: "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times" and "Good >>> Vibrations." The theremin is used fairly subtly on the former track. If you >>> can't spot it in "Good Vibrations," you're deaf. >> >>Guess I'm deaf then (hmmm, where did all these records come from?) >Uh? Hello? Even *I* know that there's a Theremin in Good Vibrations... >it's very distinct indeed....and it goes oooooowoooowooooo..... Yes, I know what a Theremin sounds like thank you! I do have the Portishead LP on cassette! The reason I couldn't hear the Theremin in Good Vibrations was that I DIDN'T CARE! Anyway, I assume this was the reason - just that my subconcious didn't respond. Anyway, it doesn't matter if it's in there or not really does it? BTW, can we quit it with the Beach Boys thing now? I agree with wells in part (but I'm not going to tell you which part) and that's all I have left to say on the matter. How's about we discuss the relatively new Shimon & Andy C doublepack, Terraform. Anyone whose experience of dark drum and bass is just No-U-Turn, get this! 4 tracks and not a single dud or downbeat one on there. Anyone who thought their sound on Genetix/Mutation couldn't get that much more twisted, think again! Aran, you must have heard this one?! If not, get spending, you wont regret it! gb. -- /TheW i http://www.homeusers.prestel.co.uk/lwtcdi/all/ f o L D o dlr WTC "Let's decompose and enjoy assembling!"
